New York, November 20TH, 2009 — On Wednesday, November 18th, the Mexico Tourism Board’s New York Office, Riviera Maya’s Hacienda Tres Rios and SVB Media Group held a press conference to announce the Celebrity Golf Invitational Tournament, being held for the first time in Mexico on December 3rd through the 6th.  The tournament will host about 36 sports and entertainment celebrities from around the world and will showcase Mexico’s world-class service; infrastructure and first class hotels.

Held in NY’s celebrated Club Cielo, the conference featured players such as former Green Bay Packers leading receiver, Antonio Freeman, who will also be one of the sports celebrities participating in the tournament, in an effort to raise money for charitable organizations such as Mexico’s Teleton.

“When I was first invited to be a part of this I thought, wow what an amazing project” said Freeman. “But the more I read about it and spoke to more people about it, I realized how important it was to be a part of this and how much it will help Mexico’s tourism industry.”

Those interested in taking part in the tournament should visit: www.celebritygolfinvitational.com to sign up and view the list of the celebrities participating.
