July 16, 2009 – Teri Kozlowski, an Orland Park mother
of three, has been named the winner of the Chicago Red Stars Soccer Mom of the
Year Presented by Mexico Tourism Board contest.
Kozlowski was nominated by
her daughter Jayna, a member of the Windy City Pride Soccer Club’s U12
team. Jayna’s entry was one of hundreds that were received from 16
states for the contest on www.chicagoredstars.com .
“Here’s to you,
mom,” Jayna wrote in her winning nomination, “for spending all of
those years driving to games, watching games, cleaning smelly uniforms and even
for just kicking the ball around with me in the backyard. Thank you for
everything. And a special thank you for never, never, never giving up on
me.”
As the contest winner,
Kozlowski receives an all-inclusive trip for two to the Grand Occidental
resorts in Riviera Maya from Mexico
and Apple Vacations. She was recognized on the field at halftime of the
Red Stars’ July 12th win over FC Gold Pride.

Tourism Board in Chicago.

The Red Stars return home to TOYOTAPARK
for a 3 pm game on Sunday, July 26th, against Abby Wambach and the
Washington Freedom. The Red Stars will go green for the game, wearing
special green jerseys and celebrating environmentally friendly causes.
