Veracruz and all that Jazz!!!
Veracruz is considered one of the most
festive and joyful states in Mexico.
It’s well known for its vibrant carnivals, delicious cuisine and for
being the door to the conquest of the Americas.
From
the 7th through the 15th of August, Xalapa, capital
of Veracruz,
will be in complete party mood as it hosts the International Jazz Festival, a
project that since its first edition 12 years ago has been supported and taught
by world-renown artists and teachers from the Berkley College of Music. The
festival will offer workshops in piano, bass, percussion, horns and voice, as
well as classes in improvisation, jazz theory, harmony, arrangement, clinics
and lectures.
Xalapa is known for its eclectic
architectural offering and its historic center is one of the UNESCO’s
World Heritage Sites.

the nearby town of Coatepec,
you can stay at Posada Coatepec, a unique hotel
located in the original hacienda of the town’s founder that has a rich
mixture of Mexican architecture, modern technology and the crafts of local
artisans.
A
