ARCHAEOLOGICAL MONUMENTS ZONE OF XOCHICALCO
Xochicalco (Place of
Flowers) is one of the richest archaeological sites in Mexico, developed from 650 to 900 A.D. between the
destruction of Teotihuacan
(Aztec) and the beginning of Toltec civilization. Xochicalco
was not only the oldest known fortress in Middle America,
but also a well-fortified religious, political and commercial center.
