The calm waters of Veracruz are optimal for doing all kinds of water sports, such as kayaking. At the port and nearby beaches you?ll find guides and rental services.

Port of Veracruz. Located along the city?s shoreline. Off the coast you?ll find one of Mexico?s most important coral reef systems. Along the deep blue waters of the port you can do a 30-minute kayaking excursion to the Isla de Sacrificios, where you?ll see seagulls, pelicans and hundreds of fish swimming near the coral reef.

Anton Lizardo. Located 23 km (14 mi) south of Veracruz, near Boca del Rio. This beautiful beach with fine sand and calm waters makes up part of the Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano (Veracruz Coral Reef System). At this place you?ll find specialized guides that organize kayaking outings to nearby Isla de Sacrificios and to Roca Partida, which lies about 80 km (50 mi) south of the Anton Lizardo beaches.
