Highway 180 connects Chichen Itza
to Cancun and the state of Quintana Roo in the
eastern region, and to the city of Merida in the west. In Merida, bus lines Super Expreso and Autotransportes de Oriente (a second-class bus) depart to Chichen Itza.
The ride takes about an hour and a half. You can also arrive by plane on
airlines Aerocaribe, Aeromexico,
Aviacsa and Mexicana, which
offer service to a local airport and nearby Merida and Cancun.

The airport has taxi and bus services to Cancun,
