Highway 119 links Tlaxcala to the city of Puebla, which lies 33 km south, and Highway 190 leads to Mexico City, located 120 km (75 mi) to the west. From Mexico City?s East Bus Terminal (also called Tapo), you can take bus lines ADO, Flecha Azul and Autotransportes Tlaxcala-Apizaco-Huamantla to Tlaxcala.
