Huatulco has an international
airport that receives flights from Mexico City and Oaxaca, and during the winter
flights arrive from Toronto, Montreal, Chicago and Los Angeles. The following carriers
operate out of Huatulco?s airport: Mexicana, Aeromexico, Continental
Airlines and Aerocaribe. Apple Vacation and Mlt Vacations offer international charter flights, while Aerotucan, Magnitur and Viajes Liberacion provide local
charters. By car, you can arrive from Mexico City by taking highways 95
and 200 (via Acapulco), which is a 939-km
(582-mi) stretch. You can also take the Mexico-Oaxaca route to Pochutla, or the Istmo de Tehuantepec-Huatulco
Highway, which is in much better conditions. There?s also
bus service from Mexico City, Acapulco, Puerto Escondido and Pochutla on the following lines: Cristobal
Colon, Estrella Blanca and Gacela.
