In San Miguel de Allende
you can attend many important cultural events throughout the year.
Festival de Musica de Camara (Chamber Music
Festival). Founded in 1979, this festival draws ensembles and soloists
offering original orchestral performances. Normally the event is held in
August.
Festival de
Jazz (Jazz Festival). Held in November, this jazz
festival, which was launched in 1994, features world-renowned musicians,
allowing residents of San Miguel de Allende to enjoy quality
music.
Centro Cultural Ignacio Ramírez. Located at the
Ex-Convento de las Monjas Concepcionistas, at 75 Hernandez Macias Street. This is one of the city?s
most important venues. Here you can attend performances during the Chamber
Music Festival. In one of the halls you?ll see a mural by David Alfaro Siqueiros.
Teatro Angela
Peralta. Located at 82 Mesones Street. This 19th-century
building of neoclassical style hosts important cultural events, such as the
Chamber Music Festival.
