Throughout the year one can enjoy various world-class events, from film and food festivals to important fishing and yachting tournaments.

 

Puerto Vallarta Film Fest - An alternative to the Mexican and Iberoamerican Film Festival, which screens national and international productions. It is held in March and April.

 

International Gourmet Festival - A showcase of international cuisine with the presence of world-famous chefs. It is held in mid-November in Vallarta?s most prestigious restaurants.

 

Festival de las Artes ? An art festival promoted by the city government. The pieces are on display at the port city?s top art galleries.

 

International Sailfishing Tournament - This event held in November is organized by the Vallarta Marina yacht club.

 

Marina del Rey Regatta - Ships sailing down from California participate in this event. It is held every two years in February and Puerto Vallarta is the port of arrival.

 

The Puerto Vallarta Golf Cup - This tournament takes place at various golf courses in May.

 

Centro Cultural Cuale - Located on the Isla del Rio Cuale in downtown Puerto Vallarta. This cultural center organizes various events: dance, theater, art exhibits and important film showcases like the Puerto Vallarta Film Fest.
