BOATING

 

Puerto Vallarta has an important marina, which offers all the necessary services for docking and servicing boats, yachts and cruise ships. There are also several local marinas where one can hire tours and excursions.

 

Marina Vallarta - A spectacular tourist complex consisting of a marina with 400 slips, a yacht club, a top class hotel, and private condominiums. The Marina Vallarta also has a large mall with exclusive boutiques. What?s more, it offers a world-class 18-hole, par 72 golf course, which is only 10 minutes from the airport.

 

Boca de Tomatlan - This marina has a pier offering small slips and a water taxi service with boats departing every 15 minutes to nearby beaches such as Yelapa.

 

Playa del Sol o de los Muertos - Here you can rent boats for diving, fishing or sailing to other beaches nearby.

 

Bahia de Chamela - Located 157 kilometers (97 miles) south of Puerto Vallarta, this bay boasts the greatest number of islets in Mexico. Its blue and green waters move softly. Here you can rent boats for either fishing or touring around one of the 11 nearby islands inhabited by hundreds of bird species.
