PAQUIME, CHIHUAHUA

Location: in a fertile valley in the northwestern Chihuahua, the Casas Grandes area is home to the ruins of Paquime.

Attractions: The extensive remains of the archeological site of Paquime Casas Grandes provides exceptional evidence of the developement of adobe architecture in North America.

This place played a key role in trade and cultural contact between the pueblo culture of the south western united states and northern Mexico.
