can admire various monuments
that reflect the cherished culture
and traditions of the port,
which has become one of the
most important beach destinations on the Pacific
coast.
Monumento al Pescador ? Located
at Gutierrez Najera and Avenida del Mar. This is one
of the most
representative monuments of Mazatlan. Originally,
the Fisherman?s Monument was dubbed
Alegoria Marina (Marine Allegory),
owing to its symbolic references
to the sea.
Monumento a la Vida ? Located
on Paseo Claussen, it is one
of the port?s
most beautiful monuments. The sculpture at the
Monument of Life symbolizes the harmony that
ought to exist between mankind
and nature. Because of its
nude human figures, it is popularly referred
to as The Naked Monkeys.
Estatua de la Reina de
los Mares (La Sirena)
? Located on Paseo Claussen at the
Rodolfo Sanchez Taboada roundabout, this bronze statue depicts
a siren and a child on a large
rock.
Monumento a la Mujer
Mazatleca ? Located on Paseo Claussen near the
Rodolfo Sanchez Taboada roundabout, this monument was created
to pay homage
to the beautiful
women of Mazatlan.
