Mazatlan offers beautiful scenery that you can enjoy on a pleasant walk along the beach or on a horseback ride. In the Zona Dorada and at other beach areas you can rent horses at affordable rates.

 

Las Tres Islas ? Located 3 km (2 mi) west of Mazatlan. An Important symbol of Mazatlan, this group of islands consists of Pajaros, Venados and Lobos. This place is ideal for hiking, and at some points the trails can be quite challenging. In addition, you can enjoy a delightful and reasonably priced horseback ride along the beach.

 

Cerro del Creston ? Located 2 km (1.2 mi) south of the port of Mazatlan, near the sportfishing boats. At the top of this hill is the world?s second tallest lighthouse. At 157 meters (518 feet) tall, this hill is a perfect place for rock climbing. At the peak you can take in a lovely view of the southern portion of Mazatlan?s port.
