ENTERTAINMENT AND SPORTS EVENTS

Isla Mujeres has an extensive coastline where important sporting events take place, such as boating competitions. The island also has a convention center where visitors can attend business and social events.

Regattas. In April and May, Isla Mujeres hosts two famous regattas that draw world-renowned boat crews, particularly those from the United States. Known in Mexico as the Sol a Sol Regatta and the Regatta al Sol, the boats depart from St. Petersburg, Florida and New Orleans, respectively.

Convention Center. Centrally located, this convention center has a capacity for 1,000 people and it offers excellent facilities for social and business events.
