HISTORICAL ARCHITECTURE

 

On Isla Mujeres you can visit what?s left of an old hacienda surrounded by beautiful gardens, which once belonged to a pirate who sought refuge on the island.

 

Hacienda Mundaca. Located along the turnoff toward Garrafon Park and Zac Bajo, near Playa Lancheros. At the hacienda?s entrance you?ll see an archway with an inscription that says: Hacienda Vista Alegre (Happy View Hacienda). Other sights include a rotunda with a small basin and carved stone benches. Open daily from 8:00 to 6:00.
