EXTREME SPORTS

 

In Tepoztlan and its surrounding areas you?ll find various place where you can do exciting extreme sports, such as skydiving and mountain biking down steep trails. You also can go on a hot air balloon ride.

 

Parque Nacional El Tepozteco (Tepozteco National Park). Located in Tepoztlan, 21 km (13 mi) northeast of Cuernavaca. In this 24,000-hectare (59,280-acre) protected area you?ll find the Cerro del Tepozteco, where you can do various sporting and cultural activities. At this park you can rent mountain bikes to ride along trails of varying difficulty levels.

 

Cuautla. Located 32 km (20 mi) southeast of Tepoztlan, off Highway 95. Here professional instructors offer skydiving lessons. After the course you can take a thrilling plunge from 3658 meters (12,071 feet) in the air.

 

Yautepec. Located about 20 km (14 mi) south of Tepoztlan, off the state highway. At this place you can do a breathtaking tour of the Tepozteco Valley on a hot air balloon ride.
