In the city of San Luis Potosi and its surrounding areas you?ll find beautiful parks and swimming resorts with spacious grass areas and excellent sports facilities. These places are ideal for family outings.

 

Parque Tangamanga I. ? Located on Av. Salvador Nava. With 411 hectares (1,015 acres), this is one of the city?s most important parks. The park offers amusement rides for children, picnic and grass areas and a manmade lake, where you can go fishing or take out a rowboat. Here you?ll also find aquatic park Tangamanga Splash, which has swimming pools with water slides and wading pools. The water park is open from March through October; the main park is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7:00 to 6:00.

 

Centro Vacacional Gogorron ? Located at Km 9 on the Villa de Reyes Highway. This swimming resort has sports facilities, amusement rides for children, two pools, thermal springs and grass areas that are ideal for picnics. Open daily from 9:00 to 6:00.

 

Balneario Cascadas de Tamasopo ? Located at Km 2 on the Temasopo-Agua Buena Highway. This beautiful natural resort has 20-meter (66-foot) waterfalls and ponds where you can go swimming. About 2 km (1.2 mi) from here you can visit the Cascadas del Trampolin, where you?ll find waterfalls and ponds among the willow, fig and juniper trees.
