In Cuernavaca?s surrounding areas you?ll find many swimming resorts that have some of the best pools in the region and protected green areas where you can do all kinds of recreational activities.

 

Chapultepec Ecological Park ? Located at 27 Bajada de Chapultepec, in the Chapultepec neighborhood. This park has a 1.5 km (1-mi) track for running, a lake, a small train and an interactive environmental museum with various animal species.

 

Ex-Hacienda of Temixco Aquatic Park ? Located 11 km (7 mi) south of Cuernavaca at Km 85 on the Mexico-Acapulco Highway. This 130,000-sq meter park offers 20 pools with water slides, a manmade river with waves, sports facilities, a miniature golf course, food services, showers and much more. Open daily from 9:00 to 6:00.

 

Centro Campestre Xochitepec ? Located in Xochitepec, 17 km (10 mi) south of Cuernavaca, at Km 19.5 on the Cuernavaca-Alpuyeca Highway. This rural swimming resort offers pools, sports facilities and ecology workshops. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 to 6:00.

 

El Rollo ? Located in Tlaquiltenango, 36 km (22 mi) southeast of Cuernavaca, in Rivera del Rio Yautepec, Colonia Gabriel Tepepa. At this 30-hectare (74-acre) ecological park you?ll find lodging, water slides, manmade rivers with waves, pools, children?s play areas, restaurants, dressing rooms and a convenience store. Open daily from 9:00 to 6:00.

 

Las Estacas Natural Aquatic Park ? Located 49 km (30 mi) southeast of Cuernavaca, in Tlaltizapan. This 24-hectare (59-acre) park has lush vegetation and crystalline springs. At this place you?ll find pools, sports facilities, children?s play areas, nature areas, a restaurant and a hotel.
