Ensenada, Baja California?s most important port, is located 300 km (186 mi) southwest of state capital Mexicali and 113 km (71 mi) south of Tijuana. The average year-round temperature is 21º C (70º F).

 

Ensenada is known for having some of the quietest beaches on the northern Pacific coast, particularly Punta Banda, an ideal spot for scuba diving and kayaking. In the surrounding mountain areas you can visit parks such as Constitucion de 1857 and Sierra de San Pedro Martir, which are attractive ecotourism destinations.
