FESTIVALS AND TRADITIONS

 

Throughout the year, Xalapa hosts important celebrations featuring fairs, expositions and numerous cultural events. Among the most important festivities is the Fiesta de Primavera, which is held from April 14 ? 30. During this event you?ll see agricultural, livestock, industry and crafts expositions. It also offers a flower expo, which draws florists from all over the region who compete to win a prize for the best flower arrangement. In addition, you can check out beautiful flower exhibits of orchids, roses and azaleas. The most important celebration of the year honors the Virgin of Guadalupe, Mexico?s patron saint. Held on Dec. 12, the festivities include a pilgrimage to the town of El Dique, a fair and artistic performances.
