FESTIVALS AND TRADITIONS

One of Villahermosa?s most notable celebrations is called Celebracion del Mes de Abril (Celebration of April), which features agricultural, livestock, crafts and commercial expositions. It also offers various artistic performances and beauty contests. Also worth mentioning is the Fiesta de la Ciudad, which is held on July 14 and 15. Finally, there?s the Carnival, which takes place in Villahermosa and the nearby towns of Jonuta and Tenosique.
