In Veracruz?s surrounding areas you?ll
find several places offering excellent camping grounds.
Pico de Orizaba National Park.
Located 90 km (56 mi) west of Veracruz, off Highway 150.
This national park covers 19,750 hectares (48,782 acres) and has the highest
mountain in Mexico. This is the ideal place to go camping and it has all the
necessary services.
La Antigua. Located 25 km (16 mi) north of the
port of Veracruz, along La Antigua River, this ecotourism site covers an area
of about 20,000 sq meters. It is an area that has a wide variety of plant life,
making it ideal for camping. The camping grounds offer food service, kitchens,
showers, temascal baths, security service, and much
more.
