In Tampico you can enjoy a very festive atmosphere during the city?s Carnaval celebration, which is held in February. During this event you?ll see colorful parades with floats, costume contests, live music, dance performances and fireworks. The city also hosts regattas, fishing tournaments and windsurfing competitions at Playa Miramar during Holy Week. In addition, you can check out sand sculpture competitions, as well as music and dance contests.
