HISTORICAL ARCHITECTURE

 

Tijuana has preserved notable examples of eclectic architecture that reflect the city?s historic, artistic and cultural roots.

 

Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Cathedral). Located on the corner of Calle 2 and Av. Constitucion. This elegant stone construction is an eclectic mix of neoclassical and colonial styles. Among the edifice?s notable features are its towers with square-sectioned columns. Open daily from 8:00 to 7:00.

 

Palacio de Fronton Jai Alai. Located on the corner of Av. Revolucion and Calle 7. This majestic building of neoclassical-style architecture once held handball games. Today, it houses restaurants and Jai Alai courts.
