Cerro del Creston ? Located 2 km (1.2 mi) south of the port of Mazatlan, near the sportfishing boats. At the top of this hill is the world?s second tallest lighthouse. Nearly surrounded by ocean water, at the foot of this hill you can observe mollusks and small fish that are brought into tide pools by the high tide.

Las Tres Islas ? Located 3 km (2 mi) west of Mazatlan. An Important symbol of Mazatlan, this group of islands consists of Pajaros, Venados and Lobos. On this group of islands the region?s flora and fauna are protected, making it an important ecological zone.

Rancho El Venado ? Located 10 km (6 mi) north of Mazatlan?s Historic Center. This is an excellent place for hiking and observing flora and fauna; it?s home to more than 30 animal species, including white-tailed deer, coyotes, woodpeckers, crab spiders and many others.
