The city of Saltillo offers
three annual festivities of a religious nature. In August, the Fiesta del Santo
Cristo de la Capilla takes place,
which features regional dances known as Matachines
and Tlaxcaltecas, as well as a festival held on the
eve of the city?s saint?s day. During the celebration you?ll also see
processions and Mass ceremonies. In September, Saltillo hosts the
Fiesta del Cristo de Ojo de
Agua, which also features processions, dance
performances and music. Finally, in October there?s the Fiesta de San Francisco, which
offers a very festive atmosphere.
