Near San Luis Potosi you?ll find ancient Huasteca ruins, allowing you to learn about the history of the pre-Hispanic people that inhabited this region.

 

El Consuelo Archaeological Zone ? Located 298 km (185 mi) east of San Luis Potosi, off Highway 70. Among the most important structures at this site are six religious edifices, three houses (called Palacios en lo Alto), and a rectangular platform, which was the ceremonial square. Open daily from 8:00 to 8:00.
