The deep sea fishing offshore of Nayarit is world renown. Two world record catches have been accomplished in the area (blue marlin and wahoo) and a new record sailfish was brought in during the summer ?07 tournament. Deluxe fishing charter vessels are available for those who want to try to challenge the records or just have some great fun.

The waters of Banderas Bay are known for their optimal fishing conditions.

Bucerias ? Located 19 km (12 mi) north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. Here you can catch such species as roosterfish, bass and striped mullet, as well as larger game fish like sailfish and marlin.

Cruz de Huanacaxtle ? Located 15 minutes from Riviera Nayarit, 30 km (19 mi) north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. At this place you can rent a boat and head out in search of skipjack tuna, sierra and dorado.

Punta Mita ? Located on the northern end of the Banderas Bay, more than 40 km (25 mi) north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. In this area you?ll find ideal conditions to catch sailfish, dorado, marlin and bass.
