Playa del Carmen is a cosmopolitan destination that offers exquisite Yucatecan cuisine and international fare. Among the traditional local dishes are cocido, relleno blanco, relleno negro, chocholomo and cochinita pibil (pork bathed in orange juice served with beans and red onion).
