Near Pachuca
you can admire the archaeological ruins of Tula, the mysterious capital of the
Toltecs and one of the most important cities of ancient Mexico.
Tula ? Located 1 km (a half mile) west of the town
of Tula de Allende and 76 km (47 mi) west of Pachuca. At this site you can see
important structures such as the Atlantes sculptures, enormous statues of
warriors that stand 4.8 meters (nearly 16 feet) tall. You?ll also see a ball
court and the Palacio Quemado (Burned Palace), which features a façade with
