Every year, La Paz hosts
world-class sporting events, which draw both
locals and foreigners, particularly competitors from the United States.
In addition to enjoying the fabulous
waters off the Baja California coast, visitors can attend cultural events.
Torneo de Pesca
Dorado La Paz
? This fishing tournament, held in June, is one of the most awaited sporting
events in the world. During the competition,
participants compete to catch the largest
dorado, one of the most abundant
fish species in the Sea of Cortez.

Bisbee?s La Paz
? This event, which is organized by Bisbee?s, takes place in September. The fishing tournament draws numerous competitors from Mexico and
the United States who compete to catch the
largest dorado, tuna and marlin.
Instituto Sudcaliforniano
de Cultura ? Located
on the corner of Altamirano and Constitucion,
on the 2nd floor, in the Colonia Centro. This venue offers mostly cultural events, such as piano concerts, orchestra performances, theater, poetry recitals, book presentations, dance performances, photo and art exhibits
