state of Yucatan its own
identity.
Museo Regional de Antropologia de Yucatan - Housed in the lavish rooms
of the Palacio Canton, on the
first floor the exhibits offer
a broad look at the historical
evolution of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Located at Paseo Montejo 485. The Yucatan Regional Museum of Anthropology is open Tuesday
through Saturday from 8:00 to 8:00 and Sunday from
8:00 to 2:00.
Museo de la Cancion
Yucateca ? Located on 57th Street, between 48th and 50th streets. Pictures, portraits, biographies and musical and personal objects of famous Yucatecan
musicians are on display here. Open
Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 5:00.
Museo de Arte Contemporaneo
"Ateneo de Yucatan" (Museo Macay) ? This contemporary
art museum displays more than 300 pieces of regional art ranging from
ancient Mayan objects to modern
art. Open Wednesday through Monday from 10:00 to 6:00. Located on 60th and 63rd streets.
