In Loreto you?ll find an impressive museum that chronicles the history of the city and the Baja California Peninsula region.

 

Museo de las Misiones Jesuiticas (Museum of Jesuit Missions) ? Located at Plaza Salvatierra and Calle 16. This museum has six showrooms that narrate the history of Baja California?s inhabitants and the Jesuit missionaries that settled in the region. On display are documents and objects that were used by the Jesuits. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 1:00 and 2:00 to 6:00.
