In Hermosillo?s surrounding areas you?ll find several places where you can catch a wide variety of fish species and compete in prestigious international fishing tournaments.

 

San Carlos ? Located in Guaymas, 133 km (82 mi) south of Hermosillo This reserve has an abundance of fish species, such as tuna, sailfish, dorado, marlin, sierra, skipjack and salmon. Here you can go sportfishing or compete in various international fishing tournaments.

 

Bahia Kino ? Located 107 km (66 mi) west of Hermosillo, off Highway 16. At this spot you can catch a wide variety of species throughout the year, including giant squid, jack mackerel, dorado and tuna.

 

Abelardo L. Rodriguez Dam ? Located 3 km (2 mi) east of Hermosillo. At this dam, which receives the waters of the Sonora River, you can catch catfish and largemouth bass.
