Hermosillo boasts beautiful old architecture of various styles, allowing you to appreciate part of the city?s great history.

Catedral de la Asuncion de Hermosillo (Cathedral) ? Located on the corner of Blvd. Hidalgo and Melchor Ocampo. This is one of the city?s most important buildings. It was built using an eclectic mix of neoclassic and neogothic elements. The most striking features are the elegant columns and the pedestals that adorn the main façade. Also of interest are the ogival windows, the towers and the hemispherical finial. Open daily from 8:00 to 8:00.

Palacio de Gobierno ? Located on the corner of Comonfort and Dr. Paliza. This edifice, which was inaugurated at the beginning of the 19th century, has a sober neoclassic façade with a semicircular pediment and a clock tower. Inside you?ll see a patio and staircases that have a series of contemporary murals. Open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 3:00.
