FESTIVALS AND TRADITIONS

 

One of Huatulco?s main celebrations is the Fiesta del Mar, which takes place during Holy Week. It offers music, dance and fun games. Another important festivity, which is held on the isthmus, is the Vela Xunaxi, during which the best regional dress is awarded a prize. Finally, there?s the celebration of Santa Cruz on May 3, which features a wide variety of regional cuisine, music and a fair.
