Near Durango you can visit an archaeological site where you?ll see the ruins of an ancient settlement.

 

La Ferreria Archaeological Zone ? Located 8 km (5 mi) south of Durango, off Highway 115 in the direction of La Flor. At this site, once a settlement of the Chalchihuites of Zacatecas, you?ll see pyramids, small temples and altars made of stone slabs. Open daily from 9:00 to 5:00.
