SURFING

 

Cancun has some great spots for windsurfing, where enthusiasts can glide across the water as they are pushed by the wind and strong ocean currents. If you?d like to do some windsurfing, just about every beach and many hotels rent all the necessary equipment.

 

Puerto Morelos ? Located 36 kilometers (22 miles) south of Cancun off Route 307. Has calm waters, which are ideal for water sports, and reefs nearby that are certain to please scuba divers. Near the port, you?ll find a charming botanical garden and a crocodile farm.  This is a magnificent place to windsurf, especially during summer months when the wind conditions are more suitable.
