Near Cuernavaca you can visit a national park where you can go camping.

 

Lagunas de Zempoala National Park ? Located 25 km (15 mi) northwest of Cuernavaca, off Highway 95. This 4669-hectare (11,523-acre) park has seven lagoons and pine and fir forests. At this park you?ll find designated camping areas; all you have to do is ask the park rangers for permission.
