CAMPING

For nature enthusiasts, the surrounding areas of Aguascalientes have excellent camping sites, ideal weather, abundant vegetation, mountain areas and plains. What?s more, the grounds are easy to reach from the city.

Presa de Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos Dam). To arrive at this dam, take the Aguascalientes-Calvillo Highway 70 to Jalitiche de Arriba, then follow a dirt-road turnoff for 16 km (10 mi) to the town of Los Alisos. The dam is surrounded by a dense oak forest, which is perfect for camping. Near the dam, during the rainy season, you?ll see waterfalls with a 70-meter (231-foot) drop. The area is relatively unknown, yet it offers splendid scenery, allowing you to have a thoroughly enjoyable nature experience.

Ejido Ecoturistico El Ocote. Lies 22 km (14 mi) southwest of Aguascalientes, off the Villa Hidalgo Highway. These commons have a designated camping area in a gorgeous natural setting with potable water and security services.
