Aguascalientes is a city that produces many valuable crafts, such as the ceramics made with natural clay using traditional techniques of kneading, molding and painting. The traditional designs of the vases and tableware, which are fired at a low temperature, include the Jitomate, Herradura and Paloma, while those fired at a high temperature are the Flor and Caracol designs. Other crafts of strong tradition in Aguascalientes are the textiles, which include embroidered goods, wool textiles, hats and cowboy wear. You?ll also see saddlery, artistic ironworks, stained glass, jewelry and marquetry of fine wood and onyx inlays.
