The city of Campehe is located in the state with the same name and it's part of the Yucatan Peninsula. Campeche city is a colonial seaside town that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. The baroque, historical center is one of the most finely preserved in all the Americas and is home to Campeche Convention Center XXI, the state’s largest convention center, with 17,642 square feet of event space and capacity of up to 6,000 people .
The Hacienda Puerta Campeche and Hacienda Uayamon are also great places for events, with large facilities and gardens, perfect for banquets, conventions, and weddings. Campeche International Airport has direct flights to Mexico City, Cancun, and Merida.
Also in the state of Campeche is Ciudad del Carmen, also known as the oil city. Surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and the huge, Terminos Lagoon, beyond the city you can find beautiful beaches, some of the best bird watching in Mexico, and great fishing.
