In Tuxtla there are two ways of having fun: traditional, with the great marimba players, and modern, in the bars with contemporary groups playing.

The state capital of Chiapas offers a provincial ambience with its family-oriented parks where a marimba, the cultural symbol of the region, is always playing the traditional songs “El Sapo” or “La Chiapaneca”.

Meanwhile, for whoever wants to dance to the beat of more modern rhythms or chat with friends over a drink, the city center is home to plenty of interesting bars. A visit to San Cristóbal de las Casas is also a good idea, where the cantinas open their doors wide to fun and enjoyment.
