In the evenings, keen dancers converge on Parque de La Marimba, where they can try out their best steps. This park is an attractive spot with its colonial-style benches, lighting and central bandstand. Around the plaza you can purchase crafts or enjoy a meal at a restaurant.

The most important venue and cultural center in Tuxtla is the Centro de Convenciones y Polyforum Chiapas. Here all kinds of social, cultural, and sporting events are held as well as conferences, conventions and fairs. It is located between Andrés Serra Rojas avenue and Libramiento Norte.
