Just 7.5 miles to the north of Durango is the town of Chupaderos, a departure point for explorers going mountain biking in the semi-desert. The Las Huertas gully is a favorite place.
You can go on a zip-line over the Salto de Agua Llovida waterfall. Part of the attraction is getting there as you have to hike through gorges, lonely canyons and past crystal clear springs.
Equally thrilling is the Puente de Ojuela zip-line, with a length of around 1,000 feet and a height of 327 feet above a ravine; it is sure to give you quite an adrenaline buzz.
