In the days of yore there was a town made of stone that was brimming with silver and able to build a then-unimaginable tunnel as a symbol of its power. This town had a twin, plundered and almost ghostly with wild dogs and the elderly awaiting death. Another was where adventurous youths sought answers, and still another colored with Huichol people and those that liked to study music. We visited all of them and found that Real de Catorce is a town with a stone face and the flavor of the desert.
