Pinos, Zacatecas

 

Despite resistance to the Spanish Invasion by the indigenous Guachichiles, Pinos was founded as a colonial town in 1594. Set in the mountains and hills, this town in southern Zacatecas still shows signs of its mining prosperity and haciendas de benefi cio that  provided inhabitants with years of wealth.

How to Get There

Pinos, Zacatecas

By Road: It is located 77 miles from Zacatecas. Travel 15 miles along the state road, no number, until you reach the junction with federal road 49 in the direction of the state capital. By Bus: From Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosí use Autotransportes Unidos del Centro. By Plane: Aeroméxico and Interjet schedule to Zacatecas airport.
