Cadereyta de Montes, Queretaro

We had already visited Cadereyta's renowned botanical gardens and nurseries, famous for having some of the best cactus collections in the world, so this time the idea was to discover all the rest of the treasures that the town hides (recently named a Magical Town in 2011). Imagine what we found! Elegant churches, colonial houses, ancient chapels, haciendas, and a handful of fascinating destinations in the surrounding areas including a marble village, the Freixenet vineyards, and the majestic Zimapan Dam were all on the list.
