On the shores of the Sea of Cortes lies El Chileno, a quiet beach which is part of the Tourist Corridor of Los Cabos, next to Costa Azul, Punta Palmilla, el Bledito Bay, Santa María Bay and Cabo San Lucas Bay. Here you will find a wide range of hotels offering first class services, as well as dozens of cruise ships looking forward to the spectacular sunset.
Why was it certified?
Recently honored with the “Blue flag” of excellence worldwide, el Chileno Beach has been certified by the IMNC (Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification), because of the outstanding quality of its turquoise water, as well as for the management and preservation actions for the protection of the environment. Safety measures at the beach are ensured, and it also has showers available for its visitors and sufficient information about environmental education.
What are the activities in which I can participate?
Because of its calm waters and the comfort provided by the shade of its palm trees, El Chileno is a very popular beach. Its calm tide is perfect for swimming, diving, snorkeling and kayaking. It is quite easy to see all kind of tropical fish, marine turtles, moray eels, invertebrates, sea urchins, sea fans, sponges and star fish in its waters.
